” I knew right away that you were it for me. There were no reservations or second thoughts.

I saw you and in an instant knew in my bones,

my soul had known your could lifetimes ago.” beau taplin

Jane & Tom // Wild Canary Wedding Brisbane

“…the immense quiet of the dark blue at night with the millions of stars waiting and watching makes one sure; and sometimes a sound of far-off music makes it true; and sometimes a look in someone’s eyes.”

Frances Hodgson Burnett, The Secret Garden

Celebrating their love with friends and family was paramount for Jane & Tom, so an intimate, restaurant style wedding was the perfect choice. The venue was one of Brisbane’s most delicious resturants with a focus on local, sustainable fare and if you haven’t been there before, I strongly recommend it.  Scattered rain clouds decided to join us on the day so wet weather plans were put in place; though it didn’t seem a compromise.  After the ceremony, Jane and Tom chose to be away from their guests for only a short amount time, to ensure they were a part of the celebration and festivities with their friends.  I was treated to a gorgeous location, a private residence that reminded me of a childhood favourite, The Secret Garden. Before long, we arrived back to join in the reception festivities. xx
